Hosted by Greendale, the Love Local Food Festival is an annual, family-friendly celebration of local food & drink at the historic Exeter Castle. We host plenty of foodie experiences, live music, a traditional bar, al fresco cocktails, children’s activities and more. Take a deep dive into the local food scene with our talks & tastings, or shop from over 80 local food & drink brands. The festival is completely free to enter, no tickets required.

As well as tasty treats from the Greendale Bakery, Deli & Fishmongers, we host lots of fantastic local producers at the festival, so there’s fabulous food galore. Our producer line up includes gorgeous cheeses, hair-raising hot sauces and artisan charcuterie, alongside sensational seasonings & deli delights – think pies, olives, quiches, scotch eggs.
Sweet tooth? Indulge in ice cream from The Udder Stuff, customisable ice lollies from The Luxe Lolly Co, churros, chocolate, vegan bakes, milkshakes and treats from SB Bakes, Edwards Fudge Kitchen and Flapjackery, plus plenty more to choose from!
Our Love Local Food Festivals also feature plenty of foodie experiences, street food, live music, a traditional bar, al fresco cocktails, children’s activities and more. Visitors can take a deep dive into the local food scene including pizza and cocktail demos, wine and chocolate tasting experiences and more. Followed by an afternoon of live music from local artists.

Our drinks line up has something for everyone – real ale fans, cider lovers, wine buffs and spirit afficionados! We’ll be hosting delicious soft drinks from Jurassic Drinks, Drinks Kitchen, and Jolly’s Cornish Drinks, alongside some of our favourite locally-produced artisan coffees and Cornish bubble tea from Bubble Trouble. The event also features a traditional-style bar at the castle, with local draught beer and ciders, plus festival-exclusive cocktails served in the courtyard.
The Exeter Castle courtyard will be transformed into a foodie paradise, with an extensive street-food selection to satisfy every craving. Alongside the popular Greendale BBQ, the lineup includes locally-produced pizza, hot dogs, falafel, fresh pasta, corn dogs and a variety of vibrant Caribbean and Japanese street-food dishes.
